In 1980 in Syracuse New York some bronze sculptures were made by A. C.

A few of these sculptures were written on with chalk by C. G.

Three photographs of these were taken by G. S.

Around this time a photograph of the inside of a New York City subway car was also taken by G. S.

A text was written

A red square was formed

The photographs were arranged to form a rectangular sheet of paper folded three times so that the six squares became one

Then placed into a square cardboard box

A label was designed for and attached to the box

That box was opened

The folded square was unfolded to reform the portrait format rectangle

In 2018 it was pinned to the wooden wall of the Amden Atelier

For a period of time it was viewed

Then returned to its box

In June 2026 it was transported to a window at Elisabethenstrasse 41 in Basel Switzerland

It was taped to the centre of the glass window pane facing out to the street to be seen

Other boxed versions of the poster are also in the window stacked behind in newly designed red tote bags waiting in anticipation for their future passage to another place and another time
